The new Audi e-tron starts at a base price of $90,042 and is offered in two trims: Progressiv and Technik. With a robust and dynamic silhouette, impressive power and a wide range, this 2023 Audi electric SUV will seduce anyone that crosses its path!
Upgrades on the 2023 e-tron (vs 2022)
As was announced by the manufacturer on November 9th, Audi promises many changes for the 2023 Audi e-tron, which has been on the market since 2018. Indeed, the new generation of e-tron that will be available at dealerships starting in the first quarter of 2023, will from now on be called the Q8 e-tron, a name change that also includes the Audi e-tron Sportback all-electric Quattro, which will be renamed the Q8 e-tron Sportback.
What’s new on this all-electric Audi SUV?
We find an improved range that goes over 500 kilometers—against the 357 kilometers of the 2022 version and the 364 kilometers of the current 2023 e-tron—in any case, a net increase from previous versions.
Among other updates, it’s worth noting the new adaptive air suspension system with controlled damping, which allows the Q8 e-tron to adjust the ride height in off-road conditions; the improved aerodynamics, with a reduction of the drag coefficient; and the impressive 496 horsepower on the more powerful versions.
But while we’re waiting to know more about the Q8 e-tron, let’s see what the current model has to offer.

Audi e-tron (Electric SUV): Battery and Range
The 2023 Audi e-tron offers a range of 364 kilometers, and this, no matter the version you choose. Both of them are equipped with a set of two electric asynchronous engines which combined 402 horsepower and 490 lb-ft of torque allows the vehicle to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.7 to 6.6. seconds, depending on whether you’re on boost mode or not. A 95-kWh battery and the standard Quattro all-wheel drive technology completes the package.
Charging Your Battery
The charging time can be very short, depending on the type of charger you use. How do you charge your Audi e-tron? There are several options out there:
- Level 1 Charge (120V, standard outlet): +/- 100 hours
- Level 2 Charge (240V, at home or at public charging stations): +/- 10 hours
- Level 3 Charge (400 V, some public charging stations): +/- 30 minutes (from 0 to 80% charge)
Let’s see in detail the different trims and prices for the Audi e-tron.

The e-tron SUV: 2023 Sportback Model
This all-electric Audi coupe, offered at a slightly higher price than the standard SUV model, presents roughly the same characteristics in terms of power and range (362 kilometers instead of 364).
Its perfectly chiseled lines and aerodynamic silhouette with a sloped roof line make it an electric SUV that’s outstanding in terms of driving performances.
Why Choose the 2023 Audi e-tron?
If you’re looking for an upscale all-electric SUV that provides solid performance, with an exceptional level of luxury and offering a long list of in-car technologies and advanced security features, then go for the Audi e-tron.
Of course, other Audi models offer similar characteristics, but a comparison between other models, including the 2022 Q4 e-tron’s characteristics, shows that the 2023 e-tron is more advantageous in terms of power, cargo space and maximum speed, among other things.
