Revealed for the very first time last year, the Audi A6e-tron is a model that says a lot about what the future holds when it comes to Audi e-tron models, the name that was given to the German manufacturer’s electric vehicle lineup.
With your Audi Lauzon dealership, find out everything we know about the Audi A6 e-tron electric concept, which –according to the manufacturer- should be on our Canadian roads in a near future.
New technologies to come, with the A6 electric
Audi’s technological advances are numerous, but one in particular catches our eye. The A6 e-tron sedan will be equipped with the latest generation of DELO digital headlights, which will also serve as a screen.
These digital headlights will be able to project a video game developed by Audi onto a wall in front of the car when it’s larger. For example, while you’re charging your vehicle’s battery, you can also enjoy this game in front of your vehicle.
From now on, the digital headlights will not only offer a range of customizable light signatures and dynamic animations, but a screen projecting a video game will become reality.
Moreover, the most important new technology that was demonstrated with the Audi A6 e-tron is the all-new Premium Platform Electric, or PPE for short. This platform is specially designed to be at the heart of several upcoming Audi e-tron models.
It is a modular system that was developed alongside another German manufacturer –Porsche- and which should be used in the manufacturing of a wide variety of vehicles from different segments. When it comes to Audi, the very first vehicle to be built on this platform should be one found among the C segment, which includes midsize models like the Audi A6.
Given that future plans for the PPE platform is to ensure that it is made available to a wider variety of models, it is not only interesting in the context of the A6 e-tron, but also in regards to other Audi electric models, including the Audi A4 electric.

Electric Powertrain — Range, Battery, and Charge
The Audi A6 Avant e-tron is an electric SUV that clearly demonstrates what the future of electric mobility could look like. In fact, Audi presents a concept vehicle that could reach up to 757 km in electric range, placing it easily among the best electric vehicles in this regard. This is of course an estimate for the A6 e-tron Sportback with rear-wheel drive.
The electric sedan is also equipped with an 800 V charging system, which means that it can be charged with a capacity of up to 350 kW. To help you understand these numbers in a more practical way, Audi explains that this car could recuperate a 300 km range in only 10 minutes.
The electric range and charging times are not the only important aspects to consider: the manufacturer has also reassured performance amateurs that the most powerful of the Audi A6 Avant e-tron models will offer impressive performance.
The Audi A6 e-tron will be equipped with quattro all-wheel drive. The electric motors on the front and rear axles generate a total power output of 350 kW and a thrilling torque of 590 lb-ft.
It is clear that this car is the perfect combination of performance and economy!
Exterior Design and Dimensions
The exterior of the Audi A6 Avant e-tron luxury vehicle is quite striking. In fact, length and width create a stunning contrast when taking into account its height. Here are the dimensions:
- Length: 195.6- inches
- Width: 76.8- inches
- Height: 56.4- inches
To give you a better idea of what this means, the Audi A6 Avant e-tron is wider but not as high as the RS6, which is the high performance A6 trim. If you would like to find out more about this wagon with outstanding capacities, take a look at our article on the Audi RS6 and its price.
This imposing stature is aided by 22- inch wheels, which leaves very little space for front and rear overhangs. It is a car with an aggressive, imposing and –mostly- athletic design.
Moreover, the all-new PPE platform allows Audi vehicles with which they are built to provide buyers with a more spacious interior, including more legroom at the front and back. This is, of course, something the Audi A6 Avant e-tron also provides.
The 2025 Audi A6’s spacious interior offers abundant storage solutions, but it’s the cutting-edge technology that truly stands out. The sophisticated dashboard showcases a triple-screen setup: an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a dedicated 10.9-inch passenger display.
In short, inside the 2025 A6 you will have space and technology. You travel long distances without getting tired. Finally, we can bet that this cabin will be refined with high-quality materials and ultra-comfortable seats.
The S6 e-tron and Its Differences
With a distinctly more sportive look than the Audi A6 e-tron, the S6 stands out with its S-branded appliques, its spectacular range that can reach 670 km, its exceptional driving dynamics, and its high level of comfort.
This version is more powerful than the A6 electric. Mainly, it comes with two electric motors for a total power of 503 horsepower against 367 horsepower for the A6 e-tron Performance. The S6 e-tron can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds.
Price and Release Date
Audi has not yet revealed a release date or price for the Audi A6 e-tron, even though several things seem to point to the fact that the model will definitely reach the production stage later in 2025. In fact, Audi spokespeople have stated that production for this concept car would probably begin in a very near future.
Moreover, given that the Audi A6 plays an integral role on the Canadian market, it is almost certain that Audi Canada will be offering the Audi A6 Avant e-tron.
When it comes to a specific arrival date, we will obviously have to be patient; however, we can certainly hope to see it cruising our streets by 2026, given that the automobile manufacturer seems very keen on producing vehicles on the all-new PPE platform, which was presented on the Audi A3 Avant e-tron.
When it comes to base price, we are dealing here with an Audi that is similar in size to the Audi A7 hatchback, which begins at $ 87,650. Taking into consideration the electric motor, for the Audi A6 electric, you can probably expect a price of around $ 100,000. This price would actually give it an advantage over others in the luxury electric vehicle segment, which includes the Tesla Model S that sells at a base price of $ 121,990.
